Home Based Party Business

October 17th, 2011 by admin

Starting your own home based party business begins with determining your niche. Take a look at what types of parties you like to throw or what aspects of parties you like to plan in order to choose a home based party business. You want your home based party business to be something you enjoy, so look closely at why you like parties.

For instance, if you love to plan large parties, consider starting a home based party business that focuses on reunions, weddings, or other large events. If large parties are not your thing, you can focus on organizing small get-togethers or cocktail functions for your home based party business. Many people who love parties can create a home based party business that makes specialized party favors, cakes, or other items for parties.

Business Ethics – Why Are They Important in Small Business?

October 16th, 2011 by admin

Rarely is there the individual who does not encounter an ethical or moral dilemma at some point in his or her business life. Whether that individual is the owner of a multinational corporation, a small business entrepreneur, or a new or established employee, everyone is likely to have to face such an instance eventually. Much like a personal ethical dilemma, an individual is faced with making a decision based on how it will affect not only himself, but on how it will effect the organization as a whole. One of the major problems when dealing with an ethical dilemma in business is that individuals are often swayed by business profits and the legality of a decision.

Stop Using Your Gut Feelings With Your Home Based Business

October 15th, 2011 by admin

A Decision based purely on emotional feelings is a bad idea for your home based business. Once you start taking decisions based on your ego, insecurity, gut feelings and fear, the business may not survive for long. In order to make your business grow, you have to address the core issues before taking any major decision.

Good decisions don’t come by accident. You have to analyze them with the right and serious attitude. If the problems are ignored and poor decisions are made then your home based business will suffer.

Home Based Business

Generally there are two types of decision makers:

1.       Those who keep trying even after failures

2.       Those who stop trying, fearing failure

Internet Business Ideas

October 14th, 2011 by admin

When starting an internet business you will want to

brainstorm various ideas. I suggest that you brainstorm

ideas that you are actively interested in. It is always

easier to start a business on a topic that you like. So that

when the going gets tough you will still pursue it as you

are really interested in the topic. I suggest you narrow

your target market instead of appealing to a broad

audience. So go for a niche for example if you enjoy

paragliding then only focus on that.

Starting a Property Management Business

October 13th, 2011 by admin

The property management business is a really good idea for someone who wants to make a decent income without taking too many risks.

My foray into property management was purely by chance. I had about 15 flats in Dundee and employed a full time handy man to collect rents and sort out any minor repairs.

Business Management

My friend Chris knew that my properties were well managed and he asked if I would look after his mother’s flats. I knew that she was not well and because of her health, in the last year half her flats had lain empty. I reluctantly agreed and started renting out her properties.

Business – How Management’s Promotion Policies May Create Super Failures

October 8th, 2011 by admin

Many organizations subscribe to the policy of promotion from within. Today, many eager employees consistently demonstrate all the capacities of being a “super-worker.” Each and every day, their strengths of job specific skills are viewed by their “bosses.” When that one management position is available, these “super-workers” hungrily vie for that position. And sometimes with hard work, one of these individuals safely reaches that next step up the corporate or management ladder – being a Supervisor.

Now, this highly skilled super-worker is catapulted into an entirely different world of management – supervision. The skills that brought him or her to this new level of supervision are not the same skills required to be successful in this role.
